What will the big three do? I'm not talking about the automakers here. They may well declare bankruptcy; however, what the big three politico will do is the question. Will Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Joe Biden look into criminal charges against George Bush if they win? What will they do if they lose or does winning or losing have nothing to do with the scenario?
Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden said he and presidential hopeful Barack Obama could bring criminal charges against the Bush administration if they are elected in November. "If there has been a basis upon which you can pursue someone for a criminal violation, they will be pursued," Biden said during a campaign stop in Florida. Whoa! Is this for real?
But, if Barack doesn't win and the Democrats soundly defeat the Republicans in the House and Senate where they can over ride a veto by John McCain, might they even have more reason to pursue such a case?
Biden promised that an Obama-Biden government would go through Bush administration data with "a fine-toothed comb" and pursue criminal charges if necessary. "Not out of vengeance, not out of retribution. Out of the need to preserve the notion that no one, no attorney general, no president — no one is above the law." But after Sarah Barracuda went after a cowardly Harry Reid in her VP speech Wednesday night, maybe it will be Pelosi-Reid attack if Obama gets washed ashore.
Political battles may not be over for # 43 when he steps down January 20th, 2009
While I thought Sarah Palin did a remarkable, fantastic, and remarkable job for one coming from her background, I'm afraid the Bush speech writer for her has set her up as the "head-banger" and will poise her opponents for a red meat attack. Hey, what's a VP candidate for if not being the hit man, giving and taking them while the main man (can you say John McCain) is forgotten. This is exactly what happened in 1992.
The press went after Hillary for various reasons, taking the heat off Bubba. In Judaeo-Christian circles it's called a "sacrificial lamb". Welcome to politics Sarah!
